Copy paste but well done
Theme wise it's a copy of "Expeditionary Force" aka. Skippy the magnificent. It is however entertaining enough.

Interesting Story
The story is refreshingly new, but contains several well-known elements, so that Sci-Fi fans have often the feeling of "ah, this is a reference to this and this"...
And there are many references for nerds: )

Seventeen Chapters of pure frustration
You spend the first seventeen chapters wanting to grab one of the characters and scream at them. The first few chapters its a scientist dude, then its the MC, I get and understand not understanding technology but you want to yell at the main character for his complete denial of what is going on. He sees a robot come through a potral "Theres a logical explanation." He sees hyper advanced weapons and ships "Its the Koreans" He sees a talking gun "Its a guy in an office laughing at him." Talking gun starts helping him "Its a trick." An humaniod in a hi-tech battle suit nearly beats him senseless "its someone from DARPA". Dear gods its beyond frustration.
Finally... Finally... after seventeen and a bit chapters.... He sees the truth of the situation and.... has a break down. Its disapointing for the MC. They say weakness is human but denial of reality is somthing no trainined, venteran soldier would go through. Cracking from combat stress but thats not what he has.
Then finally the story starts and the whole painful seventeen chapters was a for nothing as they move on without the event having a character building tale for the trouble.

Just great....
This book is right there with expeditionary force, to be honest there are quite a bit of similarities between the two.
Nonetheless I really like the style and the characters.
R.C. Bray is simply one of the best narrators I know.

Es hat fast den Anschein, dass es eine Kopie der Expedition Fors
In den Kampf zehn und weil sonstigen Dingen wie Kanye und eine Waffe, die plötzlich spricht, hat man oft den Anschein, dass es aus expeditionary force from Gregg Alanson heraus kopiert wurde. Ich weiß auch nicht, warum.

Awesome!
Great entertainment. Actually comparable to District 9 movie and Expeditionary Force Audiobook Series. The earth is besieged, the Internet is smashed, humanity is to be enslaved and sold by the alien occupiers. A group of warriors from different military branches try to counter the threat together with a talking alien IA weapon. This is one hell of a ride!

ok way better than expected
Ruins of the galaxy was to hard to follow for me personally, and I was a little worried this would be the same, but no, this is awesome 👏 hurry up with the the others please, I love the hints and word play to another great book series I enjoy 😊
