You‘ve got to be kidding me!
I am very disappointed and feel beeing fooled!
First two books were nice so I was looking forward to this one. The duration is stated as 6 hours and 18 min. In the information section, there is a mention of bonus material, which is common and I thought few minutes promotion material is OK. But guess what? There is 3 hours 15 minutes „bonus“ material!! That leaves the actual story with what? Only 3 hours! So the story I‘ve paid a full price for, goes only half the time, than actually expected! And the so called bonus is actually nothing but pure promotion material. Well this is not what I paid for!
And the „bonus“ materials doesn‘t even have their own chapters. They start some 12 minutes or so into the last chapter of the actual story. So the actual duration of the initial story and the duration of bonus are not visible at first sight. So When I just loved the story and relaxed into it, I was surprised when I‘ve heard- „ Epilogue“. Whaaat, already? ....And then the bonus story started. I think the bonus story does not start in the beginning but somewhere in the middle and out of any context. There are several boring dialogues, that I absolutely did not need to hear.
This has a taste of a very shady and untrustworthy practice:
1. Not including exact duration of the story and „bonus“ is shady.
2. Bonus is understood as extra service/benefit, so I expected something fun. Selling promotion material for bonus is just mocking the customer.
3. It is either planned promotion which is impertinent, or just filling the gap for too short story. Me and many other customers do not buy short stories for full price. So the promotion material feels like:“ Oh the story is too short to sell, so let‘s add 3 hours of „bonus“ to it. impertinent, shady and untrustworthy. If there were good intentions, and this is really believed to be good bonus material, then it is still unprofessional.
==> Is there a real writer or a profit company behind this? If you guys want to make profit, make it a win win for all. I will definitely never ever buy anything from this writer again. And if I finde more of this at audible, I will get myself a new provider.
