Lazy Writing

"Oh damn. I was betrayed and crippled. Lost it all along the way. Lucky me though, somebody is granting me power to go on a rampage with a hot chick."

2-dimensional character meets 1-dimensional monsters. If you like cliché this might be for you. For me it's one of the few books I never finished on audible. Simon can do better I believe.
