Nice puzzle piece
I liked this part of the story, but I disliked the reader. His voice was really weird and robot like. Nonetheless another great piece to the puzzle of the foundation story.

Robot reading

Voice is tolerable story monumental

I love asimov but this audiobook is pain
The narrator McKeever sounds like those old cheap speech synths they used in the 90s. There is no love, no intonation and no variation. I listened to it for 5 minutes and had to stop. It is that horrible. You likely get better results if you just throw the book in a new text to speech program.
They remake the good versions from Scott Brick, but this garbage wasn't?!
After ages I found the DeLotel version which is slightly less painful, but still pretty bad.
Also this "She was not much more than 1.5 meters in height, and her breasts, though shapely, were small. Yet she did not seem unripe. The nipples were large and the areolae dark, though that might be the result of her brownish skin color."

Nice to know - not important
I am happy to now have completed the Preludes to the Foundation.
However fun both books have been, e.g. to be back in the word of Asimov, he still isn’t that good of a character writer. Not at all…
The Prelude-Books feel much like a missing piece Asimov needed to fill. But not a book which is thrilling to read. Sorry, but I can’t recommend going through this book. Although, if your willing, like me, to complete the puzzle.

unhearble
I love the story, I read it years before.
But the reader making breaks between partial sentences that are timed like breaks between chapters making the whole thing a pain to hear.
sad, so many stories ruined by bad readers.
