Rutherfurd at his best

creating a set cast of characters allows the author to develop them beautifully, besides diving into snippets of Paris history along the pathways of colourful short stories

Such a rich story of character destiny

I enjoyed it a lot. Do find yourself a character map online early on, so you don't get lost in the story. The man's narrators voice who had to read women's voices was so bad. He did man's voices greatly though. The woman narrator was perfect.
