Great characters, great stoey
It always takes me ages to join the party but I finally got round to listening to the first edition of the Thursday Murder Club and I adored it. I loved the many fantastic suspects, the humor, the great writing and the fact it's a series. And the interview with the author by Marian Keyes at the end was a fantastic surprise. Keep it for the end as there are spoilers. Oh and last bit not least the storytelling by narrator Lesley Manville is the best!

One of the best audiobooks I listened to
Amazing voice, I was touched by the characters and what burden they all carry..on the same time they are ruthless and extremely funny! Love the four main characters!

A tresure
The characters alone are worth it.

Sometimes so sad sometimes so funny

Clever. Funny. Polite.
Besides the depth of the characters and the clever plot twists, I especially appreciated that there was not a single swear word used to tell this story. Thank you for this rare gem!

What a love!
I‘m not sure that murder could be written in a more loving way than this. The characterisations were spot on. Every single person in this story was alive and a very individual character. I simply loved the book.

A lovely story about decent people.
What a lovely listen! I enjoyed the book very much and I will be buying the sequels!
However, I have to criticise the following quote: “Belgium is as flat as Holland.”
Belgium has the Ardennes *duh*
Holland is just two provinces of the country we Europeans call “The Netherlands” and thus shouldn’t be compared to the country Belgium.
I don’t say “England” as a synonym for “Great Britain”, as many other Europeans admittedly do :-)
Just my five cents of longing for accuracy in fictional stories.

I really enjoyed this murder mystery
The story was fun, aibeit a bit too slow paced. The narrator did a good job with the multiple POV but I think the characters could have been a bit more distinct in terms of accent, maybe.
I liked the commentary on growing old, love, life, sacrifice.
