Life changing read
I loved listening to this book. Hickel is making a passionate, holistic and convincing case for degrowth. It sure did convince me that there is a path to a better future.

The one and only way to save the planet!
Absolutely recommendable book for everyone! Hickel describes the urgent need for change in the global economic and social system, our treatment of nature and resources and social injustice. He strongly criticizes the capitalist economic system and makes concrete suggestions on how to move away from our exploitative and destructive capitalism to a social, just and sustainable system by reversing economic growth.

great but missing ubi
Green growth is a myth, we need to switch to a post capitalist economy that is not centered on growth based on an animist world view that respects the earth.
Good summary of humanity's current priorities.
Just 4 stars because it completely leaves out universal basic income which in my opinion is crucial for this whole process.
