WOW!!!
i can only recommend this Audiobook
i really enjoyed it. the Reader has a very pleasant voice and the book ist very interesting and informative while the authors catchy metaphores and examples make this complex topic better to understand!
I would Love to listen to more kurzgesagt audiobooks!!!!

Marvel from Kurzgesagt
I have dozens of non fiction books in may library, but haven't wrote a review to non of them. The Immune from Philipp Dettmer is such a masterpiece that if it would be possible I would give it 10 out of 5 starts. Absolutely wonderful book. The way her explains one of these most complex systems in existence is truly amazing by itself. He managed to deliver information in very interesting and exciting manner, which at the same time is understandable. I truly enjoying the content of his YouTube channel and had no doubts on getting this book. And indeed, the book itself had overcome all my expectations.

10Hours of kurzgesagt
a lot of the topics have been touched briefly in the Videos of the team Kurzgesagt. so it was fun seeing all these tiny mechanisms I knew existet, come together to form the complex system we call our body / immune system.
the whole book is like e very deep dive version of their videos, disregarding clumsy scientific names where needed. there are jokes here and there and the pacing worked for me.
still, some parts require direct attention, so listening on the side works, but require rewinds as soon as you must some part of a sentence.
Steve Taylor is great at reading these kind of topics, i enjoyed listening to him for every minute of this book and their videos.
all in all, i can only recommend it for Joung and old.
I imagine the whole thinking and talking about viruses and diseases would be very different, if more people have this level of understanding, I will get the book and the German version as presents for people I love.

Excellent book and reader
I am reading a book about human biology with the same title " human biology" for undergraduate students and reached to a chapter about the immune system. I was afraid to continue reading because of the subject's complexity and because I don't have enough time, too. When I listened to this book, everything about the immune system is explained in a clear way that I could understand how the immune system works and I am really looking forwards to finish my old book.

Amazing book and great narrator
Love the book so much that I have the physical copy and the audiobook in addition, especially as Steve Taylor is a really good (and very calming) narrator.
