Normalerweise bin ich kein großer Fan davon, wenn das Pärchen schnell zusammenkommt. Aber hier störte es mich überhaupt nicht, da die Charakterentwicklung von Charlie voll im Fokus steht. Die Darstellung von geistigen Erkrankungen ist meiner Meinung nach sehr gut gelungen, sowie dessen Einfluss auf eine Beziehung. Auch die Nebencharaktere waren schön plastisch.
Die beiden Sprecher haben ganz fantastische Arbeit geleistet, muss ich sagen.
Allerdings ist das Hörbuch stellenweise sehr düster, das nur als Warnung. Die Spannung zum Schluss war Wahnsinn und das allgemeine auf und ab der Emotionen hat mich die ganze Zeit gespannt hören lassen.
Einziger Kritikpunkt wäre für mich, dass Shane alles ein wenig zu gut weggesteckt hat und im Vergleich zu Charlie ein wenig den Kürzeren im Spotlight gezogen hat; der Fokus war doch immer gezielt auf Charlie.
Die beiden und die Story wird mir auf jeden Fall noch lange gut in Erinnerung bleiben, eine ganz klare Empfehlung, wenn man schwerere Themen verträgt.

The story is oftentimes hard to listen to, because there is A LOT to unpack, but there are also a lot of sweet moments.
