It's been two months since Will Darling saw Kim Secretan, and he doesn't expect to see him again. What do a rough and ready soldier-turned-bookseller and a disgraced, shady aristocrat have to do with each other anyway?

But when Will encounters a face from the past in a disreputable nightclub, Kim turns up, as shifty, unreliable, and irresistible as ever. And before Will knows it, he's been dragged back into Kim's shadowy world of secrets, criminal conspiracies, and underhand dealings.

This time, though, things are underhanded even by Kim standards. This time, the danger is too close to home. And if Will and Kim can't find common ground against unseen enemies, they risk losing everything.

Contains mature themes.

The character development is top notch for Kim and Will. And I love that the women get some attention as well.

Wonderful

A great romance and interesting story. If I could have wished for a story it would probably look like this one a lot.

Loved it

YES YES YES

Very well written, good story, believable and complex characters and no annoying clichés or exaggerated drama. Highly recommend :)

Lovely

Compared to the first book, the mistery in Sugared Game was far less mysterious. Of course Kim still seems to have a lot of shady business, disappears frequently and tells a lot of lies. Also there's much more violence, but that hardly makes up for the rather anemic mistery riddle. I find it funny how the two happen to do a lot of violence, then suddenly stop "You killed someone! but... it was an accident. Or not. let's do it again, shall we?"

Performance is very good, as always.

Less mistery more action (by that I mean killing)
