A stunning Cornish house, a shocking death—can The Shell House Detectives catch a killer hiding in plain sight?

"Sensationally good... I absolutely loved it."—Rosie Walsh

“No one does coastal crime like Emylia Hall.”—Lucy Clarke

Music legend Baz Carson is ready to welcome his closest friends and family to celebrate his seventieth birthday at Rockpool House, his stunning mansion set high on the cliffs on the Cornish coast. But the festivities come to an abrupt end when Baz is found dead, floating fully clothed in his infinity pool.

Tallulah, a boho-chic Californian and Baz’s first love, is convinced that his death wasn’t an accident. He’s just published his tell-all memoir, and the list of those who might wish him harm is long. But with just eight guests at Baz’s luxury, gated home, who could have killed him—and why?

Tallulah hires Ally Bright and ex-cop Jayden Weston to uncover the truth. It’s a case that becomes a race against time, and one that will push Ally and Jayden to their limits as they draw ever closer to a killer. A killer who’s hiding in plain sight and feels they have nothing to lose…

Kritikerröster

“Stunning writing, a clever plot, and a mystery that’ll keep you guessing till the final page—this is my favorite book in the series so far! No one does coastal crime like Emylia Hall.”—Lucy Clarke

“Cozy crime that makes you cry isn't a subgenre I knew I needed in my life until I read The Rockpool Murder and found myself racing through the pages with a lump in my throat. Pacy and intriguing yet also full of emotion, this is possibly my favorite yet in The Shell House Detectives series. A warm-hearted mystery that will have you racing to turn the pages.”—Libby Page

“The Rockpool Murder is a gem of a book. Escapist, exciting, gorgeously written and packed to the brim with Shell House heart and soul, it’s my favorite of the series so far. Emylia Hall brings rock-star glamour to Porthpella in glittering and menacing style, with a cast of characters quite literally to die for. The dunes have never felt so dangerous…and I loved every minute.”—Emma Stonex

this is the third story in a row back to back for me now, since I just discovered the series. and I am still amazed how very surprising the end was and I did not guess who the killers were 👍 I like that there is not too much violence and all the little beautiful stories around all the characters and their inner lifes. this time there is a new narrator as for the first 2 books, it took me a while to get used the new voices but she is also very very good. looking forward to the next book 🥰

loved it, great twists and turns
