Includes the story “The Monkey”—now a major motion picture!

The #1 New York Times bestseller—a mesmerizing treasury of short stories by Stephen King.

An eerie-looking child’s toy harbors an unimaginable evil. A supermarket is unexpectedly the place where humanity makes its last stand against destruction. A trip to the attic becomes a journey to hell. An idyllic lake conceals a bottomless terror. And a desert island is the scene of the most frightening struggle for survival ever waged.

Featuring the short story “The Monkey” (now a major motion picture) and the novella “The Mist,” which was both a feature film and television series, as well as many other haunting now classic tales, this magnificent collection is enduring and irresistible proof that Stephen King is a true master of the short story form.

Wieder einmal tolle Geschichten von Mr. King. Jedoch gefielen mir andere Sammlungen bislang besser. Die Sprecher machen einen tollen Job.

Tolle Geschichten aber nicht Kings beste Sammlung

Many stories are fantastic and wonderfully narrated, while others are just boring, too twisted or hard to listen to.
And then there’s the music. Who actually came up with the idea that a listener wants music while having a book read to them?

I liked about half of it.

Voice actors and stories, beautiful compilation for Stephen King reader. After my first King novel it was refreshing to dive into the mind of Stephen King, Marvel and all the different ideas from dramatic to fantastic.

Fantastic!

I wish I could give different reviews for the various speakers on the recording, because Will Patton took some getting used to, but otherwise it was thrilling.

Some acting a little hammy, but a classic
