Some people light up a room. Others leave the porch light on.
In a quiet neighborhood in Duncan, Oklahoma, a shy and solitary man finds solace in the rhythm of porch sitting—watching the world pass by, saying little, and feeling even less. But when a spirited woman visits the house next door, everything changes. Their conversations begin as awkward small talk but deepen into something tender, raw, and unexpected.
As neighbors share laughter, secrets, and moments of piercing silence, Porchlight becomes a story about healing after heartbreak, the courage to be kind, and the truth that even the most ordinary evenings can carry extraordinary grace.
In this warm, dialogue-rich stage play, Kenneth Jones invites you to pull up a chair, pour a glass of iced tea, and listen closely—because sometimes, what’s left unsaid speaks the loudest.
