From the legendary New York Times best-selling author of Only a Kiss and Only a Promise comes the final book in the rapturous Survivor's Club series - as the future of one man lies within the heart of a lost but never-forgotten love....

For the first time since the death of his wife, the Duke of Stanbrook is considering remarrying and finally embracing happiness for himself. With that thought comes the treasured image of a woman he met briefly a year ago and never saw again.

Dora Debbins relinquished all hope to marry when a family scandal left her in charge of her younger sister. Earning a modest living as a music teacher, she's left with only an unfulfilled dream. Then, one afternoon, an unexpected visitor makes it come true.

For both George and Dora, that brief first encounter was as fleeting as it was unforgettable. Now is the time for a second chance. And while even true love comes with a risk, who are two dreamers to argue with destiny?

It’s a beautiful ending to a beautiful series!! Not too cheesy because you see the characters grow and understand their past and what made then who they are but also how their partners too have their own stories and both together help each other overcome their own difficulties and grow stronger together! Plus the epilogue is exactly what I was going for after the series came to be end.

Beautiful ending!

I was delighted to get this book, the final book in the Survivors Club series. At last we get George’s story. The man who helped all the others recover from war injuries and trauma finally finds personal happiness, but first he has to work through some issues of his own that none of his friends know about. Another beautifully written and well conceived tale by Mary Balogh.

Wonderful ending to series

This book is my favourite out of the series. It has so much character and story depth. Truly enjoyable!
