She’s a librarian. He’s a movie star. Someone wants them dead.

Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions.

Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Caught in a high-stakes cliffhanger, it’s up to the leading man and his unlikely love interest to save the day, defeat the bad guys and maybe—just maybe—earn their own happy ending.

Lights. Camera. Run for your life.

This audio book sounded interesting, being a free download at that. It turned out to be quite a gem. Highly entertaining and cleverly written story. Great banter between the protagonistas. Most recommendable. Will look out for more books by this author.

Unexpected

I really liked the unexpexted turn of events. Good story, fortunately without endless 'steamy descriptions' or annoyingly stupid heroine.

Cute Lovestory - wonderful Plot Twist

I enjoyed the plot and especially listening to the narrator was a delight. A beautiful love story for the warm summer days.

Delightful story from beginning to end

The narrators do an excellent job with this, but the story was only mid for me. If you like contemporary romance, it might be more to your taste. For me, everything was a little too forced because it was a contemporary setting and there's no magic reason for things like their relationship to progress like it did. The mystery was vaguely interesting, but it was really predictable and I was frustrated with the characters not thinking of things sooner. There were some attempts at twists, but YMMV on whether you find them surprising (I didn't). Ultimately, I think I would have preferred this without the romance, actually, because the author had to do a lot of "not like other girls" stuff to make the FMC a believable love interest for the star MMC, which I found off-putting. Also, her librarian persona was really unbelievable for me as someone who is friends with actual dozens of librarians (who spoiler are actually all really unique but somehow nothing like this lady's "librarian quirks").

This was a good enough read from the included catalogue though.

solid performance for an average story
