Dr. Matthew Rivers had it all. A good career, with a promotion in sight. A great family, who had been through the worst and made it to the other side. His determination and dedication were all paying off. Things couldn’t be better.
But then it begins to fall apart. Nurse Natalie Stevens walks through the doors of his ER, igniting feelings he had buried for the good of his job. His sister flies into town to inform the family her cancer is back. And just as he was coming to terms with these bombs dropped on him, someone begins coming after his loved ones.
Matt is used to being in control. He’s used to saving lives. But now, there’s nothing he can do. With his sister’s life hanging by a thread and the woman he’s come to realize means the world to him goes missing, he’s left to face reality. He has no control over his sister’s life. He has no control over the man who’s taken Natalie. And he has no control over who lives or who dies.
Matt is faced with his biggest fear yet. Letting go of his need for control. Allowing others to help him. And most of all... Trusting in God.
