Hundreds of feet beneath the ocean's surface, a graveyard waits. Years ago, the SS Arcadia vanished without a trace during a routine voyage. Cove and her dive team have been granted permission to explore the Arcadia's rusting hull. Their purpose is straightforward: examine the wreck, film everything, and, if possible, uncover how and why the supposedly unsinkable ship vanished. But the Arcadia has not yet had its fill of death, and something dark and hungry watches from below. With limited oxygen and the ship slowly closing in around them, Cove and her team will have to fight their way free of the unspeakable horror now desperate to claim them.

A bit slow

Ich habe das englische Hörbuch gehört und ich muss sagen, dass es mir extrem schwerfiel, der Sprecherin zu folgen. Die Charaktere hat sie sehr gut dargestellt, aber alles außerhalb der wörtlichen Rede war sehr monoton und ermüdend. Schade. (Habe deshalb einige Kapitel mehrmals hören müssen und ich denke, das hat mein Bucherlebnis echt getrübt.)
Der Erzählstil an sich war sehr angenehm, aber irgendwie hat sich das Buch für mich doch sehr gezogen. Die Horrorelemente haben mir sehr gut gefallen, sodass ich vor allem abends lieber was anderes gehört habe. :’D
Dennoch war es irgendwie eher so ein seichtes Buch ... was aber wirklich viel am Hörbuch liegen kann.
Auch will ich nicht zu viel spoilern, aber mir haben einfach zu viele Personen überlebt und das Ende war so ... naja; war eben ein Ende – ergo: war nicht so meins. :’D
Keine Ahnung was ich sonst noch sagen soll, da ich mit den Charakteren irgendwie voll nicht warmgeworden bin und nicht connecten konnte.
