Abby Craden
Ariana Calandre's life is perfect. Her fans adore her, her music is wildly popular and she's just completed a hugely successful world tour. But then a devastating crash kills her bandmates and bodyguards, leaving her the only survivor, and she loses everything. Physically and emotionally shattered, convinced her scars make her a monster, she retreats to an isolated farmhouse, and hides behind a veil.
Depressed and hopeless, recently discharged veteran Lee Wilton arrives looking for work after her wife sold her house and disappeared with her two adopted daughters. What starts as a simple groundskeeping job becomes something deeper as Lee's patience and kindness slowly coax Ariana back to life.
Neither woman expects the powerful attraction that grows between them. But when Ariana finally finds the courage to lift her veil, will love be enough to heal them both?

It's a beautiful storyline and as always wonderfully narrated by Abby Craden. Unfortunately the story feels a bit rushed at times. Especially with such an emotional backstory, I felt there was some depth and emotion missing in some scenes.
Beautiful story! Just feels a little rushed...
