Everett, the lovable school teacher, is the heart of this story. His kind nature, patience, and quiet strength make him an unforgettable character. It’s impossible not to root for him as he navigates his growing feelings for Gemma while carrying his own vulnerabilities.
Gemma, a single mom and romance author, is equally endearing. Her balance between being a devoted mother and pursuing her writing career feels authentic, and her interactions with Everett are filled with genuine warmth and chemistry.
