A BRAND NEW compelling missing-person thriller full of twists from Patricia Dixon

'One of the most addictive thriller writers around!' Bestselling author Keri Beevis

The case was buried. Someone wants it to stay that way…

In 1977, seven-year-old Penny and her older brother Tommy disappeared while holidaying at a sunny Cornish caravan park. No trace. No answers. One of Britain’s most haunting cold cases.

Now Penny has been found alive on the outskirts of Bristol – traumatised, silent, and communicating only through cryptic, childlike drawings.

Her niece Nell, a tenacious Manchester journalist, follows the drawings to Cornwall and the imposing gates of Penmorrow House. Reluctant heir Paddy Montague has spent his life fleeing the ancestral home and the nightmares of his childhood. But Penny’s drawings – a family crest, a wooden throne, a creature in the woods – force him to confront the past.

Together, Nell and Paddy uncover a terrifying secret. And someone will kill to keep it buried…

A gripping missing-person thriller of buried secrets, family corruption and a decades-old mystery that refuses to stay buried.
