From Rodeo Rookie to Ranch Hero!
A Spoiled City Girl Meets the Ranch Life
Katie Plumb never wanted to leave California, but the Nebraska Sandhills have more to teach her than she ever imagined.
From milking cows to mastering the rodeo, join Katie on a heartfelt journey of hard work, family, and finding herself.
A Girl, a Ranch, and a Rodeo is a classic fish out of water story about what happens when a spoiled girl from California joins the Pendleton Ranch in the beautiful Sandhills of Nebraska.
And though Katie Plumb’s experience of the ranching life is initially quite rough, she eventually rises to the challenge and learns valuable lessons along the way.
Katie's valuable lessons:
- She learns critical skills of ranching like milking cows, riding horses, mending fence, and roping cows.
- She opens her mind to a new worldview and in the process learns more about the value of farming and ranching.
- She learns about the amazing sport of rodeo and its connection to the skills used in ranching on a daily basis.
- She learns how to work very hard.
- But mostly, she learns what it's like to be part of a real family.
A Girl, a Ranch, and a Rodeo is a classic tale perfect for listeners ages 9-12.
