Charles Henderson Chip Proctors life is filled with cash, supermodels, and success. Enjoying the fast lane of the wealthy elite, the prominent NY investment executive can't believe it when his brother and sister-in-law die in a car crash that makes him guardian of their children. And it just gets worse after he discovers his four-year-old niece and six-month-old nephew are the secret half-Fae heirs to an enchanted throne.

Uncle Chip Proctor believes he has the hang of this raising-kids thing. Settling into his role as the human stay-at-home dad for two enchanted wards, the former financial exec is still learning to navigate a newly discovered world. But when the little future queen enters first grade, he’s alarmed when his partner-in-parenthood spots a dangerous Fae hunter on the prowl.

Rose Eldersdottir can’t stand her human partner’s lackadaisical approach to parenting the future queen. And the warrior-princess aunt isn’t about to shirk her duties in developing her charge’s abilities—despite the occasional mishap. But when a visit to Maryland's capital leads to the young girl accidentally raising the ghost of her ancestor, it’s an all-hands-on-deck situation. Trying to run damage control in Annapolis, Chip works with his enchanted sister-in-law to conceal the source of the spell.

Uncle Chip Proctor deserves a pat on the back. Sure it was touch and go for a little while there, but he’s pleased to have settled quite nicely into his role as a stay-at-home human guardian for two royal half-fae kids. But he’s soon rushing to whisk the thirteen-year-old queen-to-be away for summer break when unruly puberty angst delivers a dose of magical chaos.

Uncle Chip Proctor thought he had it all under control. After years of protecting Sadie and Addy, two royal half-Fae teens, he’s starting to believe they might just make it to Sadie’s coronation after graduation. But when a fiery portal erupts on the soccer field, his quiet role as their stay-at-home human guardian is about to be put to the ultimate test.

One night. One throne. One magical chance to save everything. Sadie Proctor is about to graduate high school. She’s also about to become the first Fae Queen in five hundred years. No pressure. For fourteen years, her uncle Chip and Fae warrior princess Rose have protected her from everything the magical world could throw their way. But now the final test has arrived—and it’s bigger than anything they’ve faced before. A rogue mage, Reeve Hagan, has stolen the scythe of Death itself, unleashing chaos magic that’s tearing holes between worlds.
