After a decade as a single dad, I thought I had life figured out. I put my broken heart on the shelf to raise my daughter Maddie, and watching her grow into a confident, successful woman has been reward enough. Still, life has a way of throwing curves at you–the kind of curves that will get any guy’s attention. When Maddie’s best friends Lexie and Olivia find themselves homeless after losing their apartment, there’s no question I’m going to offer them refuge. They were there for Maddie during our darkest hours, and it’s my turn to be there for them now.

After a decade as a single dad, I thought I had life figured out. I put my broken heart on the shelf to raise my daughter Maddie, and watching her grow into a confident, successful woman has been reward enough. Still, life has a way of throwing curves at you—the kind of curves that will get any guy’s attention. When Maddie’s best friends Lexie and Olivia find themselves homeless after losing their apartment, there’s no question I’m going to offer them refuge. They were there for Maddie during our darkest hours, and it’s my turn to be there for them now.

For a decade, I left my broken heart on the shelf to raise my daughter Maddie alone. Then Lexie and Olivia came into my life, and things have never been the same since. But enjoying the affections of two beautiful, complex women is one thing. Navigating the nuances of love with both of them at once is another altogether. It soon proves to be a challenge that extends well beyond the three of us.

A decade of living alone and broken-hearted has transitioned into a relationship with two beautiful, complex women, with rewards I could never have anticipated. After nearly a year together, Lexie, Olivia, and I are deeply in love and starting to plan our future.

I thought my life was full with two beautiful, amazing women to love. Adding Meredith to our family has grown things in ways I could never have expected. But Meredith’s needs are not the same as Lexie’s and Olivia’s, and when I’m given a chance to advance my career by moving to a prominent venture capital firm led by one of the city’s most interesting investors, I know I need to accept. Yet doing so brings me into a world I may not be ready for, and it takes me into the orbit of a young woman who’s like no one I’ve ever met.

For two years, I’ve lived the dream. Family, friends, career, and four beautiful, wonderful women sharing my life and my home. But life moves forward. My daughter Maddie is getting married, kicking into motion a range of issues we’d thought settled and dealt with. Meredith is starting to feel the baby lust, and that’s a big decision when I could be a grandfather soon. Ariella is fitting in better than I’d expected, but she’s still keeping secrets from us.
