She’s stumbled into a lair of desperate dragons—and she’s just the thing they need. I really messed this up. Pinned to the floor by a billionaire playboy, caught stealing files from his computer. “I’m trying to decide whether to kiss you or lock you up,” he says. “Kiss me, and there will be blood. Not mine, either.” He just smiles. Rich, powerful, probably used to getting anything he wants. I’m just here to find my sister—I suspect he and his band of playboys have trafficked her and who knows how many others. I’m here for them too. Eventually.

When you’re destined to be the soul mate of a dragon, what’s love got to do with it? Nothing makes any sense. I wake up in a hospital bed with no memory of the last two weeks, no idea where I am, and a hot guy tending my every need. Well, not every need… not yet. But he’s hot as sin and twice as sweet. Next thing I know, I’m confessing all my sins—and the darkness I’m still carrying inside. What have I done that I can’t remember? Then he starts talking about a magical race of dark elves and soul mates and…

When dark elves corrupt the very thing you are, there’s only one path to redemption. This is all my fault. The fates sent them to me in a dream—the twin soul mates and the dragon man with the pale brown eyes. I knew they were key to everything. I knew I’d pay a price for it. What I didn’t see coming was the flutter in my belly when the dragon man’s eyes were upon me. He’s a fine thing, but that’s not important—rescuing these women from the feckin’ Elves. That’s important. Not least because it’s my fault they’re here.

I’m stuck in an endless loop… The evil elves and their torture chair. Or floating on a dark lake under a purple-gray sky. One’s a memory, and the other is a dream. But no matter what I do, I can’t break free. I’ve always known the Universe was made of magic… but what if that magic is evil? What if there’s no purpose, no kind and gentle Universe beckoning me, and the Tarot cards that have always faithfully guided me are a lie? Maybe the card I’ve drawn is Death. The elves have succeeded, my mind has shattered, and this is all that’s left. The Universe wasn’t supposed to be this dark.

He trains imperial concubines in the arts of the bedroom... I visit the grand harem of the Ottoman Empire once a year. The eunuch guards would behead me if they could. To be fair, they don’t expect lovers to fly off the balcony and into the night. Being dragon has its perks. Like playing in Nuriye’s bed. But it’s been ten long years of waiting—it’s time to return home to Greece and claim my soul mate. If only the fates will allow it.
