What do you do when you try to turn into a dragon or a kitten, but you accidentally turn into a dritten instead? Or you try to conjure fire but can only make flurries? Or maybe you get to fly, but you can’t come back down? For Nory and her friends in Dunwiddle Magic School’s Upside-Down Magic class, magic is amazing, unpredictable, and out of control!

When Willa's upside-down magic rains, it pours. Clouds form under ceilings. Classrooms get flooded. Umbrellas must always be nearby, just in case Willa has an outburst. Willa hates being the source of such sogginess. Even worse, the more she rains, the worse she feels.... and the worse she feels, the more she rains. All the storminess is threatening to drown her good grades and flood all her friendships. Is there any way to use magic to make the clouds disappear? Or is the storm of the century on its way?

When Morgen heads up to the small town of Bellrock, Washington, to settle the estate, she looks forward to taking a peaceful break from life and figuring out what she’s going to do next. But peace isn’t to be had.

First, the fire mage can only produce ice, then one of the wolf shifters can't shift back to human. What's worse, it all seems centered around the Tea Cauldron, especially when an out-of-town witch suffers from the same magical issue shortly after stopping by. Turns out, it's not the first time this has happened in Olmeda, and all the leads point to an old local dark coven. Is a witch related to the past trying to get revenge on the city, or is there a new magical threat targeting those close to me?
