  • 122 - Intelligent Confidence or Ignorant Arrogance?
    Jun 26 2026

Brendon and Ronnie have so much to talk about, they can't even cover all the topics they wanted. They do ask if the national conversation around the Giants is a little too overblown and if the Dodgers have buyer's remorse with Kyle Tucker. They scratch the surface of all the NHL offseason transactions and the WNBA's 30th anniversary game. And they talk about the World Cup's coverage and commentary. Along the way the fellas get nerdy again about baseball gloves and admire the poetry in soccer commentary. Brendon is making up for lost time this summer, and theorizes what happened to Barry Zito after signing with the Giants in 2006. Ronnie has an interesting name for the Oilers's new coaching hire, and (like most people) is disappointed in Alexi Lalas.

  • 121 - Better Than The Police Discography
    Jun 19 2026

Brendon and Ronnie cover a lot this week. From the NBA and Stanley Cup Finals coming to a close to Lewis Hamilton's first F1 win in years to the World Cup in action to the state of Giants baseball -- and more! Along the way, the fellas articulate Mark Madsen's dance moves from the Lakers 2001 championship parade, go over the crazy Game 4 comeback by the Knicks in the NBA Finals, and get excited for all the World Cup tourists to see 4th of July fireworks. Brendon is losing one of his favorite Bay Area venues, has fading optimism regarding Tony Vitello, and describes the beauty of the first baseman's glove. Ronnie asks if Danhausen's kayfabe magic is actually real, pinpoints when Carolina swung the momentum of the Stanley Cup Final, and thinks the Mets have been the most disappointing team in the MLB season.

  • 120 - Everything From a Muppet Embodying a 3-Year-Old to the U.S. President
    Jun 12 2026

Brendon and Ronnie are here for the World Cup! In typical fashion, after looking at the groupings, they talk about the kits. Then, in the bottom of the show, the fellas talk about the NBA and NHL playoffs having classic Final rounds, F1's crazy weekend in Monaco, and the betting scandal currently rocking college football (and maybe all of sports). Along the way, the fellas spin previous memories of the World Cup, discover that Elmo thinks there are very fine people on both sides of the NBA Finals, and manifest hope that Lewis Hamilton won't become another one of Kim Kardashian's crazy exes. Brendon reveals his allergy medicine of choice, heaps love on the Men in Blazers, and makes another pitch for Ronnie to watch Ted Lasso. Ronnie recalls having a very high resting heart rate during a USA game in the 2014 World Cup, tries to explain the very convoluted salary cap of MLS, and actually does a good Elmo impression.

  • 119 - The Second Goes First
    Jun 5 2026

Brendon and Ronnie have a lot to talk about -- the Myles Garrett trade to the Rams to the Finals in the NHL and NBA in the top of the episode, and then a lot of alternative jersey talk for two different leagues in the bottom of the episode. Along the way, the fellas realize they are each haters of the Golden Knights, reveal themselves to be nerds of the minutiae of team colors, and have a moment of silence for Claude Lemieux. Brendon still hasn't built his Giants shrine and he suspects it might be part of the issue, is a sucker for a hat with B logo, and invents the color "Blurple." Ronnie is rooting for the Hurricanes because of an irrational reason, is interested in what a green Mighty Ducks jersey would look like, and hates the new trend of matching the color of the pants with the jersey in baseball.

  • 118 - Trophy Hopes, Rodeo Ropes, Celebration Nopes, and Curse Copes
    May 29 2026

Brendon and Ronnie cover a lot of topics in both halves of the episode. In the top of the show, they cover the results of the Canada Grand Prix, how the NBA Finals run by the Knicks is literally magical, and what little hope the Avs had... when the episode was recorded. In the bottom of the show, they celebrate Arsenal winning the Premier League and, of course, end with baseball. Along the way, the fellas have a laugh at Madison Bumgarner's secret side hustle and the escalation of the celebrations by Giants outfielders. Brendon had a wedding anniversary and reports on going to an Oakland Ballers game. Ronnie once caught a lucky orange, and brings up a new spying controversy rocking English soccer.

  • 117 - A Sports Cocktail and A Draft
    May 22 2026

Brendon and Ronnie welcome longtime Fellow Friend Karina Contreras on the pod to get everyone excited about a new crop of players drafted in the 2026 WNBA Draft class. But first, the fellas run through a small collection of topics they've been meaning to get to from the NBA Playoffs to disc golf. Along the way, the guys have fun saying the names of sumo wrestlers, reflect on witnessing people going through Niacin flushes, and Karina explains who "The Stud Buds" are. Brendon recalls a teenage prank where a classmate over-caffeinated their teacher, gives some love to the production value of disc golf on YouTube, and heaps some praise on Angel Reese. Ronnie didn't know the famous soundbite from Mortal Kombat II said "Toasty," remembers when Rickie Fowler was always dressed in orange, and learns Brendon's nickname for the Dodgers in real time.

  • 116 - The Mustard Came Off The Hot Dog
    May 15 2026

Brendon and Ronnie check in on the NBA and Stanley Cup Playoffs in the Top of the Show, and then, like usual, spend the Bottom of the Show talking about a lot of baseball. Along the way, the fellas tell the tales of how they came to love the Yankees of the NBA, believe that ESPN is making a big push for Hockey, and zero in on the importance of fundamentals from Little League to the pros. Brendon explains what a Breakfast Salad entails, gives us a fan analysis of the Giants trading Patrick Bailey, and teaches the fundamentals of securing and throwing a baseball in three fun steps. Ronnie appreciates how Brendon namedropped some obscure former Lakers, feels hope swelling as the Ducks go back and forth with the Golden Knights, and wonders if catchers have less passed balls with less importance on pitch framing.

  • 115 - It Gets Late Earlier The Worse It's Going
    May 8 2026

Brendon and Ronnie take some time in the top half of the show, more than expected, on the F1 season so far. Then, in the bottom half they ruminate on the first month of the MLB season. Along the way, the fellas ask when American society stopped making songs for their sports stars, marvel at the Tale of Two Central Divisions, and honor legendary Yankees announcer John Sterling. Brendon explains how the "Wall of Champions" got its name, tells us one of his favorite Bluey jokes, and is waiting for Rafael Devers to show up. Ronnie explains where Chicago got its iconic nickname, has become rather knowledgable about F1, and surprisingly is the one who scouts the recent call-ups for the Giants.
