In Exodus 6, we see a people too beaten down to hear good news, a man who keeps doubting himself, and a God who says His goal isn’t just to free them but to be known by them. What if the question isn’t “am I enough?” but “is He?”

• God answers Moses’s “why” with His name, “I am the LORD,” and a string of “I will” promises
• Verse 3: the patriarchs held the promise, and this generation gets to see it kept
• Israel couldn’t hear good news because of discouragement and harsh labor, and God didn’t scold them
• Verse 7: freedom is the gift, but knowing Him is the goal
• A picture of God leaning in with a smirk and a halftime speech: “This half is My time to shine”
• Moses repeats the same objection in verses 12 and 30, with a genealogy in between that shows God uses real people
• The question that changes everything: not “am I enough?” but “is He?”
