This movie and the accompanying playlist continue to bring us both a lot of joy and we hope you feel that in our episode today! 20 Aug 2026

Hello! We're back from our break with a bang! Coming up on today’s show we’re chatting about Sex and the City, specifically Season 3, Episode 3, “Attack of the Five Foot Ten Woman”. We'll be unpacking comparison, impossible beauty standards and body image. We chat about Carrie’s obsession with Big’s new wife Natasha, Charlotte’s struggle to feel comfortable in her body at the spa, and Miranda feeling judged for the way she lives her life. Three storylines, one common thread: women seeing themselves through someone else’s eyes.

Taylor's recommendation: Go to the movies!! Cinema is back baby! Recs: The Invite, The Odyssey and Spiderman

  • “I called you fat?” - Friends
    21 Jun 2026

Both of us grew up watching Friends in our teen years. It’s a show that brought us so much joy, laughter and comfort. While it continues to be one of our favourite shows of all time, some of the ‘comedy’ hasn’t aged well and we want to talk about it. We don’t have time to chat through every episode, so for today we’re going to do a deep dive on ‘The one with all the thanksgivings’ and talk about the role that fat Monica played in the show, body commentary, stereotypes around the kind of people heterosexual males find attractive and of course Rachel’s nose job. We also play our own version of Friends bamboozle… let’s see if you can get more right than Gel!!

Lil recommended: An episode of the Inherited Podcast titled 'Ruby's Nana Kay on her life lessons at 80'.

Gel recommended: Simple Home Edit, One-pan Tandoori Chicken and Rice AND Off Campus Official Playlist on Spotify

  • Redefining Beauty – Dove
    24 May 2026

Both of us can clearly recall the first time we watched the Dove Real Beauty Campaign and we wanted to talk about why it has stuck in our minds after all these years.

While this is a little different to our usual episodes, we think this is such an important conversation.

We talk about the role Dove played back when we first encountered the brand in 2004, and how relevant Dove continues to be in the evolving world of AI beauty standards.

Gel recommendation: Listening to the Dish Podcast. Gel particularly loved the episodes with Niall Horan and Tom Holland.

Taylor recommendation: The Rooster on HBO

PEOPLE PEOPLE, we are finally doing an episode on That’s So Raven!! This show brought us both a lot of joy and laughter in our teen years and we wanted to talk about it, in particular an episode titled 'Food for Thought'.

We chat about food labelling, creating a fear of fatness, and also how content like this could be reworked in 2026. There’s also a sugary chat about our love of Raven’s parents, a random segue on Juicy Couture and of course a quick chat about Raven's amazing sense of style!

All right everyone, gird your loins, we’re talking about The Devil Wears Prada!

In this ep we talk about the diet culture (cube of cheese anyone??), hiring people based on appearance and, of course, the body shaming (“who is that sad little person?”). We are also going to have a sugary chat about our predictions for movie number 2!

    12 Apr 2026

Hi!! Coming up on today’s show… a very nostalgic episode all about Hannah Montana!!

With the 20th anniversary “Hanniversary” all over our feeds, we had to dive in. We’re focusing on one episode from the tv show, “You’re So Vain, You Probably Think This Zit Is About You”, using it as a lens to explore the rise of teen skincare and how beauty standards are showing up earlier than ever.

Taylor puts her marketing hat on, Gel brings the body image lens, and we finish with a little Hannah Montana: The Movie nostalgia and a chat about our thoughts on the recent 20th anniversary special.

Gel recommended listening to Shameless meets Working Hard: the BTS of building a multi million dollar podcasting phenomenon.
