There is a gap in the hawthorn hedge, just wide enough for someone who knows how to look properly!

On the other side is Mossvale, an enchanted world where fairy folk move through ancient woodland at dusk and the wheel of the year is marked with fire, blossom and long tables pulled into the square.

The Wild Goddess Podcast is a folklore and re-enchantment podcast, part storytelling, part wisdom teachings, part quiet ritual. Each episode brings you original fairylore, seasonal folklore, my own written stories, nature poetry, guided meditations, and honest teachings on what it actually means to re-enchant your life in the modern world.

This is a podcast for anyone who has ever felt the pull of an old forest. Who leaves offerings for things they can't see. Who marks the turning of the year. Who has always suspected the world is far more enchanted than it lets on.

Come find the gap in the hedge.

Welcome to Mossvale.

  • Ep 97 - Why Adults Need More Imagination (and What a Badger Taught Me)
    Oct 27 2026

What would you pack if you were going away for a weekend with a badger?

It's a wonderfully ridiculous question, isn't it? But when I asked it recently, the answers sparked something rather fascinating about imagination, creativity and how we experience wonder in everyday life.

As children, we're encouraged to invent stories, play make-believe, ask endless questions and let our imaginations run wild. But somewhere along the way into adulthood, many of us begin to leave that playful curiosity behind.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • Why imagination and creativity are important beyond childhood.
    • How playfulness and curiosity can bring more wonder into everyday life.
    • Whether we've become too reliant on ready-made entertainment.
    • Why boredom can sometimes be the beginning of something wonderful.
    • How small, imaginative questions can spark unexpected conversations and discoveries.
    • Rediscovering the joy of creating something simply for the fun of it.

This episode also marks a new chapter for The Wild Goddess Podcast, now The Art of Enchantment, where we'll be exploring creativity, storytelling, folklore, curiosity and the extraordinary wonders hiding within ordinary life.

I'd love to hear your answer: What would YOU pack for a weekend away with a badger? Come and let me know over on Instagram.

And if you enjoyed this episode, I'd love you to follow the podcast and share it with someone who could do with a little more wonder in their day.

  • Ep 96 - The Little Robin in My Tree: A Spoken Nature Musing on Birds and Finding Peace
    Oct 8 2026

A short spoken nature musing about the little robin who visits my garden every day and the unexpected way birds have opened my heart to love and wonder.

As he tilts his head and watches me from the branches, something softens. The stress I've been carrying eases, my jaw unclenches and for a few fleeting minutes the world falls away. In this gentle episode I reflect on why birds feel like such wise little companions, how watching them can calm an anxious mind and what it means to feel free from the mould we're expected to live in.

Perfect for slow mornings, mindful moments, a cup of tea in the garden or whenever you need a breath of calm.

A little reflection for you: next time you spot a bird, in your garden, on a walk or outside your window, pause and watch it for a minute. Notice how it moves and how your body feels as you watch, then ask yourself what this little visitor brings into your day.

Topics: robins, garden birds, birdwatching, nature connection, slow living, mindfulness, stress relief, finding peace, wellbeing, nature writing.

  • Ep 95 - Notifications, the Thief of Peace: Finding Calm in Nature
    Oct 7 2026

Do you ever feel on edge, waiting for the next ping? In this episode I share my poem Notifications, the Thief of Peace, a love letter to a childhood of street lights, house phones, muddy knees and frogs under lily pads, and then we talk about what constant phone notifications are really doing to our minds.

I'm sharing some research showing that even an ignored notification pulls our attention away, how phone alerts can leave us feeling scattered and restless, and a surprising study on why batching notifications works better than switching them all off.

Then we head outside with some research from the University of Derby on noticing the good things in nature, the lovely "awe walks" study, and why just two hours a week in nature is linked to better health and wellbeing. Most of all, this is an invitation to reclaim your peace, slow down, and rediscover the everyday enchantment that's still waiting just outside your door.
