And just like that, the 2025-26 sports season is coming to an end. On this episode, Coach Martin, Coach McGarry, and senior, Taylor Carpenter come back to close out the season. As always, the team did not disappoint. We are so proud to showcase our Lakewood cheer program and their accomplishments. Congratulations ladies on bringing home another banner to the LHS gymnasium.

On this episode of the Viking Coaches Corner, Kurt sits down with coach and teacher, Marcus Urka, Junior Lukas Vasquez and sophomore, Logan Batchelder. Coach Urka currently is involved with boys and girls JV golf and JV basketball. Coach Urka also teaches Spanish and is in his 11th year at LPS.
