We're saving the world, but losing the girl this week with the debut album from Midtown. Hailing from New Brunswick, New Jersey, they were one of the early breakthrough Drive-Thru Records bands that really helped put the label on the map.

We've got a lot of history with this band, from the shirts we probably should've bought in a few bigger sizes, to one particularly infamous Midtown headline show that Duncan somehow managed to miss with a ticket in his wallet. We spent some money on Midtown, but hey, come on... It's Just Rock and Roll!

Here on The Pod Punk Cast, we're so sick of being tired, and so tired of being sick. The reason why? Taking Back Sunday's debut album Tell All Your Friends. When it arrived on Victory Records in 2002, it changed the emo and post-hardcore landscape forever, an instant classic! This was the album we were all so obviously desperate, and desperately obvious for.

Plus, a full recap, as we unpack our recent trip to Montreal for the Warped Tour at Parc Jean-Drapeau!

CALLING ALL CARS! CALLING ALL CARS!

We're starting the takeover with Four Year Strong's Rise or Die Trying. This record became the blueprint for the 'easycore' subgenre. Driven by the dual-vocals of Alan Day and Dan O'Connor, this album delivers those upbeat, heavy chugging hardcore breakdowns that wrecked us, and damn near killed us when it dropped in 2007! They are a must see at this summer's Warped Tour in Montreal.

So dust off the old multi-disc CD shelf stereo, queue up the album, and prepare to be digitally manipulated!
