𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱. 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲r𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 — 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿.

In this episode of The PUSH Project Podcast, we get real about something most people don't want to say out loud: when you're given the opportunity to speak, are you actually saying something worth hearing?

It's easy to feel frustrated when people aren't listening. But the harder question is whether we're speaking from our pain — or from our healing. From our bitterness — or from our growth.

Because just like a broken crayon can still create something beautiful, your broken seasons don't disqualify you. They prepare you. 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗𝗦𝗢𝗜𝗟— and that's exactly where seeds of hope, purpose, and vision take root.

This one is short. But it might be exactly what you needed to hear today.

💫 Listen, share with someone who needs it, and follow The PUSH Project for more.

  • LEAN IN | When It Hurts Too Much To Heal | EP. 012 | DAVID HERNANDEZ

“When It Hurts Too Much To Heal… Lean In”

Healing isn’t always peaceful. Sometimes it’s painful, uncomfortable, emotional, and at times, intrusive!

In this message, I open up about growing up in a home shaped by addiction, tension, unpredictability, and emotional pain. As a kid, I didn’t know how to process the confusion, anger, disappointment, and hurt that came with loving a father I was often frustrated with at the same time.

Over the years, I began to realize that my unhealed pain wasn't simply going to disappear. It followed me into adulthood, relationships, marriage, identity, and the way I saw myself and the world around me.

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned on my healing journey is this:
real healing requires us to lean into the painful places we’ve spent years trying to survive.

Just like a deep wound has to be cleaned before it can properly heal, emotional wounds often require us to revisit painful memories, unresolved emotions, and hidden scars on our hearts before we can experience true restoration.

This conversation is for anyone carrying silent pain…
Anyone wrestling with family dysfunction, resentment, grief, disappointment, trauma, or emotional wounds that still ache beneath the surface.

My hope is that this message reminds you:
    Healing is possible.
But healing often begins the moment we finally have the courage to LEAN IN.
