Evan Mack, the coolest composer in all the land, stops by the pod to discuss his upcoming project with Cincinnati Song Initiative featuring staged performances of his works. He chats with Laura and Sam about his start in composition and how he was drawn to the athleticism of the human voice, creating a lane for artists of all ages and experiences to have creative outlets, and why getting off the couch and connecting with people at live music events really matters.
And, check out his nonprofit organization, We Are Instrumental, which provides students with access to musical instruments, fosters educational opportunities, and supports music programs in underserved communities in upstate New York.
