The Inner Take is a podcast for musicians. A space to explore what happens inside us when we make music — the thoughts, emotions, doubts, and discoveries that shape how we play and who we become. Hosted by Ramón Gardella, each episode dives into the inner world of musicianship. Through personal reflections and conversations with other artists, this podcast goes beyond technique and performance. It focuses on the psychological, emotional, and human side of making music. This is not a podcast about scales, gear, or practice routines. It’s about identity, growth, creativity, and the inner journey behind every note. If you’re a musician searching for depth, clarity, and connection, you’re in the right place. New episodes regularly. Musik

  • A New Tool: Check Your Resume
    Oct 20 2026
As musicians and artists, we often question ourselves, compare our progress to others, and forget to recognize how far we've come. In this episode, I share a personal experience playing with an incredible orchestra and introduce a simple tool to help you overcome self-doubt: **check your resume.** Whether you're preparing for auditions, building your career, or starting a creative project, looking back at what you've already accomplished can help you see your growth and keep moving forward. Because changing your pace doesn't mean you're going backward. Progress takes time, consistency, and the courage to begin. Welcome to *The Inner Take* — a space to explore what happens inside us when we make music and build our careers as artists.

  • I'm Back with a Gentle Reminder
    Oct 5 2026
After a three-month summer break, I'm finally back behind the microphone. To be honest, I made this episode for myself. I needed a reminder of why this podcast matters to me. I needed to hear that it's okay when life gets busy, when work takes over, and when the projects we love have to wait for a while. Because coming back is hard. Whether it's a podcast, a creative project, a practice routine, a hobby, or simply a part of yourself that you've neglected for a while, the first step back can feel much harder than expected. In this episode, I reflect on what happens when we focus only on work, why it's so important to protect the things that make us feel alive, and how difficult — but necessary — it is to keep nurturing the projects, people, and spaces that bring meaning to our lives. Not everything valuable pays the bills. And those things deserve a place in our lives too. So this is a reminder for me, and maybe for you as well: don't forget the projects that make you happy. Even if progress is slow. Even if you can only show up once in a while. Keep showing up. And the good news? There are many beautiful things coming to The Inner Take in the next months, including some wonderful interviews that I can't wait to share with you. Stay tuned.
