  • Remembering Barry Crocker - The Godfather of Abbotsford Soccer

    On this week's episode of BCIT's Crows Nest, host James O'Hara dives into the story of the Godfather of Abbotsford Soccer, who sadly passed away on April 2nd. Barry Crocker took a small-town soccer association and turned it into a back-to-back provincial and national championship-winning organization. A highly experienced physiotherapist who was part of the 1979 NASL Soccer Bowl Champions, the Vancouver Whitecaps, and a staff member of the only Canada Men's National Team to attend a FIFA World Cup in 1986. Crocker became General Manager of Abbotsford Soccer Association and within years created a blueprint that would be used throughout the country. Interviews include Colin Miller and Alan Errington.
