When was the last time you did something just because you liked it?
Not because it was productive.
Not because it was good for you.
Not because you could turn it into a side hustle.
Just because... it made you happy.
Somewhere along the way, I think we got a little too good at making everything we do have a purpose.
Even rest has become something we do so we can be more productive tomorrow.
And hobbies? Apparently, those need a business plan now, too. 😂
In Episode 58, we're talking about finding joy again — especially when you've spent so much time working, taking care of responsibilities, and doing what needs to get done that the things you actually enjoy slowly fall off the list.
And I'm not saying we should stop having goals or doing meaningful things. Hell, I'm building businesses around things I love.
But it's made me wonder...
When did everything we enjoy start needing to be useful?
Maybe burnout doesn't just take our energy.
Maybe sometimes it takes our curiosity, our playfulness, and those little moments when something catches our attention and we think...
Ouuu... that looks fun.
And maybe choosing yourself means making room for those moments again.
Not to become better at something.
Not to accomplish anything.
Just because you want to.
🌿 This week's little reminder: Not everything you love needs to become something useful.
✈️ And for this week's Runaway Destination we're heading to Tokyo, Japan — but without the pressure to see and do absolutely everything.
We're leaving room to wander, discover a cute little café, try something new, and follow the ouuu. 😂
Because sometimes the best memories happen when we stop trying to make every minute count and just enjoy where we are.
And if you're ready for a getaway with a little more breathing room, Runaway Destinations can help you plan one that feels like you.
So here's something to think about this week:
What would you still enjoy doing if nobody ever knew you did it?
No recognition. No money. No gold star.
Just you, doing something you love.
Because maybe joy doesn't need to have a bigger purpose.
Maybe joy gets to be the point. 🤍

Burnout is real. Balance is the goal. And I'm somewhere in between.
