What does work-life balance really mean when you're an executive, entrepreneur, business owner, or someone who genuinely loves what they do?

This week, I'm recording from beautiful Maui, Hawaii, where our family spent time making memories after my son competed in a junior golf tournament at the world-famous Wailea Golf Club.

But even while surrounded by beaches, sunsets, family, and paradise, I found myself wrestling with something many high achievers understand all too well: the inability to completely disconnect from work.

In this episode, I share my thoughts on leadership, family, success, vacations, and the hidden cost of constantly being available.

Why do we wait until lunch to call our spouse while we're working, but immediately answer work calls during family time?

Why do we protect work from family interruptions, but not family from work interruptions?

And why are some of the most important moments of our lives happening while we're staring at a screen?
