Over at Virginia Beach and Sandbridge, the forecast stays consistent with two to three foot surf and low rip current risk. However, it's noticeably warmer here with highs in the lower nineties and a heat index potentially reaching one hundred six degrees. The water is a bit more comfortable at around seventy degrees. Southwest winds will shift to the south in the afternoon. Low tide occurs at ten thirty-one in the morning, with high tide at five oh three in the evening. Finally, up at the Outer Banks in Currituck County, we're expecting around two foot waves under sunny skies. Highs in the upper eighties with that heat index reaching one hundred five degrees. The water here is the coolest at mid-sixties, and southwest winds will be a bit stronger at ten to fifteen miles per hour. Looking ahead to Friday, we see a consistent pattern across all beaches. Surf heights drop to around two feet with mostly sunny to sunny conditions. Rip current risk remains low everywhere. Expect slightly stronger heat indices, particularly at Virginia Beach and Currituck where we could see one hundred six and one hundred four degrees respectively. Southwest winds will be lighter, running five to ten miles per hour. For the extended period, Saturday brings us mostly sunny weather with around two foot surf. Things cool down a bit with highs in the lower eighties and north winds around five to ten miles per hour. Sunday introduces the possibility of showers and thunderstorms across all areas with two to three foot waves expected and south winds returning around ten miles per hour. By Monday, we're back to partly sunny skies with another chance of showers, particularly at Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks where thunderstorms are possible. Surf heights remain around two feet and highs settle in the mid eighties.
