Stand Fast in the Faith is a Christian podcast dedicated to encouraging believers to stand firmly upon the Word of God, remain faithful to Christ, and boldly live out their faith in a world that desperately needs the truth. With a deep love for America and people around the world, the podcast carries a burden for revival among the saints and salvation for the lost. Each episode seeks to challenge Christians to awaken, take a stand, strengthen their faith, and faithfully serve the Lord in these challenging days.Jason Coffelt Christentum Spiritualität

3 Burdens and a Bone that every Christian needs today.

In Luke 16, Jesus pulls back the curtain on eternity. A rich man who had everything in this life lifts up his eyes in hell and from the torment of the flame, he carries on a conversation with Abraham across a great gulf fixed between them.
In that conversation, the rich man reveals three burdens that every Christian needs today: a burden to pray for the lost ("I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house"), a burden for someone to preach to them ("that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment"), and a burden to see the lost repent and be saved ("if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent").
But the rich man also runs into a backbone of Abraham, who stands true on the Word of God and doesn't waver one inch: "They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them." No feelings, no experiences, no sign from beyond the grave just the Book. And the final word: "If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."
Here's the question: if a lost man in hell is burdened for the lost-on earth, how much more should we be? Listen in and then go tell somebody.
