Doing the right things for God can slowly turn into doing things to be seen, to feel “good enough”, or just to keep up. I’m sharing a short but weighty word that brought me back to the core of discipleship: love for Jesus comes first, and everything else is supposed to flow from that place.

We spend time in prayer for alignment, humility, and real revival, not “dead” church routines. I also reflect on believers who are persecuted for their faith and don’t have easy access to worship, teaching, or community, and how that reality should shake us out of complacency. If your prayer life feels dry, your service feels heavy, or you feel distant from God, you’re not alone, and you’re not stuck.

Then we open Revelation 2:2–6, where Jesus sees the works, the endurance, and even the discernment, but still says, “you have abandoned the love you had at first.” We talk about why you’re not saved by works, how faith and works connect, and why motive matters in ministry, fasting, evangelism, and even how we present our faith online. The question that keeps surfacing is simple and searching: where’s the love?
