Welcome to Reimagine Running—the podcast about why we run.

I’m your host, Ryan, and this isn’t just a show about miles, medals, or finish lines. It’s about the moments that change us. The early mornings. The quiet doubts. The breakthroughs on lonely roads and rugged trails.

Here, we explore the stories behind the strides—why a 5K can be just as powerful as a 100-miler, and how running shapes who we are, on and off the course.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best or searching for your purpose, you’re in the right place.

Let’s reimagine what running really means.

  • Reimagine Running | Races Recap with Tim Cottrell S1E35
    8 Oct 2026

Welcome to Reimagine Running—the podcast about why we run.

I'm excited to bring back Tim Cottrell to the podcast and discuss his Big Cottonwood Marathon and St. George Marathon in 2026. Yes, he ran both of them back the back and yes, he BQ'd at both race. But, things aren't what they always seem.

In this episode, Tim discusses his approach to training, the "ups" and "downs" of injury management, and what it takes to compete at a high level in marathons. Though Tim had goals for these races, he gave it all he had and is happy, regardless of the outcome, on how each race ended. It might not have been the exact goal he had wanted but he is grateful for the opportunity to run and race.

As Tim mentions in this episode, his journey is about being resilient and how hard work can lead to remarkable achievements. You are going to want to listen to this one.
