Stop Striving for Love.

You've been working for something that was supposed to be given to you for free. In this episode, Richard unpacks one of the most misunderstood stories in the Bible — the story of Jacob — and shows why the thing you've been chasing your whole life has a name older than your trauma. If you've ever felt like no matter what you achieve, it's still not enough, this one is for you.

Why Endless Sex Leaves You Empty. You were made to be touched, seen, and wanted — and that need is not weakness. It was put there by God. But when a father doesn't show up, when affirmation never comes, something in us goes looking for it — in relationships, in sex, in identity, in community. And nothing satisfies. In this episode, Richard gets honest about where that ache really comes from, why every counterfeit the enemy offers looks like the real thing but leads to emptiness, and what the father wound is doing to an entire generation. He shares his own story — the pornography, the same-sex attraction, the performing for acceptance — and connects it all back to one truth: you were never meant to fill that longing with something God didn't design to fill it himself. Romans 8:15 says you received the spirit of adoption — and this episode is about what that actually means for the hole in your heart. #jesus #redeempt1on #lgbtq 👉 For more Jesus, subscribe!🌈 Get my Course - Navigating LGBTQ: https://stan.store/richwithpassion/p/help-lgbtq-identity-course 🫶 Join my community: https://discord.gg/6wqBMC64z🌐 Website: www.therichardmatthews.com 📩 Booking: info@therichardmatthews.com
