Placebos - tons of research - clearly the neurology of the individual affects physiology too - and sometimes a sugar pill is justas affective as a medicinal drug. The guy who was depressed - signed up for a drugs trial, got depressed again - rushed to hospital in a complete collapse - only to find he had zero drugs in his system - he was in the control group! On being told he was right as rain in 15 minutes.
Nocebos - limiting beliefs are just as powerful, but can be dangerous - look a voodoo curse deaths!!
