  • Paul David-How to stay human in the face of AI
    Oct 13 2026

The latest episode of the Outfoxed podcast by Hunter.io features Paul David, co-founder and CEO of Literal Humans.

Paul shares why he believes B2B buying is more emotional and more human than B2C and how that belief shapes everything from client qualification to email outreach. He explains why founders treat marketing like a vending machine, how AI is raising the competence floor for everyone while making taste and judgment the real differentiators, and why his longest-serving client told him point blank that Claude can execute most of his remit but chose to stay because loyalty will pay off.

This episode is for agency founders trying to stand out in a crowded market, marketers rethinking what scale actually means, and anyone who suspects that the profession has done too much damage to its own credibility with snake oil and waste — with honest perspective from someone who came to marketing from a decade in public education.

    Podcast Episode Highlights:

    • Why he targets 50 people to land 5 great meetings, and why that's the right definition of scale)
    • How unreasonable hospitality and knowing your client's kids' names keeps clients for five-plus years in a space where retention is rare
    • The vending machine trap: why founders come in demanding tactics instead of trusting the process
    • Why AI is forcing convergence between creative and performance agencies, and what that means for talent

    About Paul David:

Paul David is the co-founder and CEO of Literal Humans, a London-based digital marketing agency that has helped brands like Wise, Oura, Chipper Cash, and OysterGro. The agency is a certified B Corp running on a four-day workweek and has retained clients since 2021 — which is rare longevity in the agency space.

Before launching Literal Humans during the pandemic, Paul spent a decade in New York City public education as a teacher, school leader, and designer of new public high schools. He earned a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Harvard. He also hosts the Tech Can't Save Us podcast.

  • Jonathan Del Gatto "How to re-wire your sales approach"
    Sep 15 2026

The latest episode of the Outfoxed podcast by Hunter.io features Jonathan Del Gatto, founder of Brighter and Director's Cut.

Jonathan shares why he only targets about 10 prospects at any given time despite a 25-year career making ads for brands like Nike, Budweiser, and Microsoft, how connected TV is making targeted video advertising accessible to brands that never could have afforded traditional TV, and why audiences returning to free streaming means we're going full circle — except now the ads are actually targeted. He also breaks down why most cold emails fail because they sacrifice quality for scale, and why the most valuable thing you can send a prospect is real thinking, not a template.

This episode is for anyone trying to stand out in outreach, founders thinking about video advertising for the first time, and creative professionals who know they need to sell but struggle to talk about what they do, with an honest perspective from someone whose work has been recognized at Cannes, the Effies, and the Clios.

    Podcast Episode Highlights:

    • Why he spends six times more effort on research than on sending, and only prospects about 10 people at a time
    • How connected TV platforms are letting smaller brands run targeted ads that used to require massive budgets
    • His brand sweet spot: too big for DIY, not yet ready for a big agency
    • A live teardown of real cold emails and why effort and specificity matter more than volume

    About Jonathan Del Gatto:

Jonathan Del Gatto is the founder of Brighter, a production company built to challenge the inefficiencies of traditional advertising production, and Director's Cut, a coaching community where he helps video professionals move from freelancer to founder. Over a 25-year career as an editor, director, and producer, he built two multimillion-dollar companies and created work for brands including Budweiser, Nike, and Microsoft, earning recognition at Cannes, the Effies, and the Clios. His work is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art.

  • Amber Gaige - "People don't know what they don't know with marketing"
    Aug 11 2026

The latest episode of the Outfoxed podcast by Hunter.io features Amber Gaige, founder and chief marketing advisor of Far Beyond Marketing.

Amber shares how she went from growing up in her family's plumbing business to building and selling her first marketing company to private equity, then relaunching a new firm so she could stay home with her son while still serving entrepreneurs. She explains why clarity of message is the first thing she has to fix with nearly every client, how the StoryBrand seven-part framework became the foundation of her agency's approach, and why face-to-face meetings are commanding a premium after years of everyone defaulting to Zoom.

This episode is packed with practical advice for entrepreneurs figuring out where to spend their first marketing dollars, agency founders learning how to scale beyond themselves, and anyone trying to cut through the noise in a world where strategic plans beat random acts of marketing every time.

    Podcast Episode Highlights:

    • Why operational goals should drive marketing budgets — not the other way around
    • How she helps franchise brands navigate the tension between franchisor control and local marketing needs
    • Why she tells early-stage entrepreneurs to hold off on the ICP exercise and just sell until they have consistent revenue
    • The case for hiring a business coach before you think you can afford one
    • Why the entrepreneurs who succeed are the ones willing to delegate their lesser strengths

    About Amber Gaige:

Amber Gaige is the founder and chief marketing advisor of Far Beyond Marketing, a Dallas-based marketing firm that serves entrepreneurs across the US with strategy, messaging, and marketing systems. She is one of only 700 certified StoryBrand Guides globally and the author of "The Far Beyond Marketing Guidebook: How to Stop Being Duped by Ineffective Marketing." Her team of 14 currently serves between 75 and 100 clients.

A third-generation entrepreneur, Amber grew up in her family's home services businesses, built and sold her first marketing company to private equity in 2018, and relaunched her consultancy to stay closer to home and her son. She is based in McKinney, Texas.
