Former professional football players Kim Bokamper and Joe Rose are now closer to their 70s than their 20s, but they still love to laugh, learn, and refuse to let the old man in their heads take a step through the front door. Join Bo and Joe as they chat with their friends from all walks of life about aging, living life to its fullest, and everything in between. We may be old, but we're not going anywhere!

Kim Bokamper was a first round draft choice of the Miami Dolphins in 1976. The former linebacker and defensive end received Pro Bowl honors in 1979 and was a member of the Dolphins' fabled "Killer B's" Defense before becoming a popular South Florida media personality and restauranteur.

Joe Rose played tight end for the Dolphins from 1980-1985 and most famously caught Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino's first-ever NFL touchdown pass in 1983. Rose has spent more than three decades entertaining and informing South Florida sports fans on both the radio and television.

  • 88. It's Getting Harder to Defend Malik Willis | Nothing to Hyde
    Oct 12 2026

The Miami Dolphins are 0-5, and for the first time this season, Dave Hyde and Kim Bokamper are seriously questioning whether Malik Willis is the answer at quarterback.

After another frustrating loss, this time to the Cincinnati Bengals, the optimism surrounding Willis is beginning to fade. With two interceptions, missed opportunities, and another disastrous special teams performance, the Dolphins head into their bye week with more questions than answers.

On this episode of Nothing to Hyde, award-winning columnist Dave Hyde and former Miami Dolphins linebacker Kim Bokamper break down what went wrong against Cincinnati and what it means for the future of the franchise.

    On this episode:

Malik Willis: Has Miami seen enough to question whether he's its long-term quarterback?

Special Teams Disaster: Another huge kickoff return exposes a problem that just won't go away.

The Quarterback Dilemma: Should the Dolphins be looking at quarterbacks in the next NFL Draft?

The Jeremiah Smith Debate: Is a superstar receiver worth a top draft pick when the quarterback position remains unsettled?

Former Dolphins Struggling: Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa, Jaylen Waddle, and others are having their own problems elsewhere in the NFL.

A Silver Lining? Why Bo believes Jeff Hafley and the coaching staff deserve credit for keeping this team fighting despite its 0-5 record.

Is Malik Willis still worth building around? Or should the Dolphins already be preparing to find their next franchise quarterback?

Dave and Bo aren't ready to write the final chapter on Willis, but their patience is being tested.

Let us know in the comments: Do you still believe Malik Willis can be the Dolphins' quarterback of the future?

  • 87. The Dolphins Are 0-4… So Why Are Bo & Juice So Optimistic? | Fish Tank x Out to Pasture
    Oct 8 2026

The Miami Dolphins are 0-4, but two Dolphins legends believe there's more reason for optimism than the record suggests.

In the first-ever Out to Pasture x Fish Tank Crossover, Kim Bokamper and O.J. McDuffie join forces to break down the current state of the Miami Dolphins, the team's promising young talent, and the culture being built under head coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan.

Despite four straight losses, Bo and Juice see a team that's improving, competing, and developing the kind of leadership and accountability they believe has been missing in Miami.

    In this episode:

Why the Dolphins' 0-4 record doesn't tell the whole story

How Jeff Hafley and his coaching staff are changing the culture in Miami

Why Jacob Rodriguez is drawing comparisons to Zach Thomas

The emergence of young players like Kadyn Proctor, Chris Bell, Chris Johnson, and Ollie Gordon II.

What's holding Malik Willis and his young receivers back—and why O.J. believes better chemistry will come with experience

Why the Dolphins' locker room leadership looks different from previous seasons

How Bo and Juice's experiences playing in the NFL shape their views on Miami's rebuild

Why the upcoming matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals could present an opportunity for the Dolphins' first victory

From stories about playing alongside Dan Marino to the importance of veteran leadership and building a winning culture, Bo and Juice offer the kind of insight that only two former Dolphins players can provide.

Are the Dolphins finally building something sustainable, or is an 0-4 start simply too much to overlook?

  • 86. The Dolphins Keep Making the SAME Mistakes | Nothing to Hyde
    Oct 6 2026

he Miami Dolphins had a chance to win in Minnesota. Instead, the same problems showed up all over again.

On the latest episode of Out to Pasture Presents: Nothing to Hyde, award-winning columnist Dave Hyde and former Miami Dolphins defender Kim Bokamper break down Miami's frustrating 15–10 loss to the Vikings—and ask when a young team making mistakes becomes a team that simply isn't meeting the standard.

For Dave, the fourth quarter told the story. Miami entered the final period trailing just 12–10, but the offense produced only three plays, two yards and one minute of possession, while the Vikings put together two long drives and eventually ran out the clock at the Dolphins' one-yard line.

Then there are the special teams. After multiple early breakdowns against Minnesota, Dave wonders whether Miami has reached the point where accountability has to follow. Bo agrees that special teams have become a recurring problem rather than an isolated bad game.

The guys also dig into an offense that scored just 10 points, the continuing penalty problem, Malik Willis' development, an offensive line struggling in pass protection, and the enormous impact of playing without De'Von Achane. Despite all of that, Bo still sees reasons for optimism—especially in young players like Ollie Gordon, Kadyn Proctor, Jacob Rodriguez and Chris Bell.

Plus, Brian Flores faces his former team, sparking a spirited debate between Dave and Bo about Flores' time in Miami. Bo still believes Flores was a great Dolphins coach, while Dave argues that his coaching ability was eventually overshadowed by the interpersonal side of being a head coach.

And because it's Nothing to Hyde, football eventually gives way to the important issues: Should you really have to tip when you're picking up your own pizza? Dave feels tip-shamed. Bo calls him a cheapskate. And somehow Uber drivers and Dave's Substack subscribers get dragged into the argument too.

The Dolphins knew this season would be about developing young players. But four games in, the bigger question is becoming:

When do the mistakes have to stop?
