In this passage, the disciples face darkness, strong winds, and rough water before Jesus comes to them walking on the water. Together, we will learn that difficult circumstances do not mean God has abandoned us. We will explore how Jesus’ presence gives us courage, why we can trust His authority over what frightens us, and what it means to welcome Him into situations we cannot control.

We will also introduce three devotional truths from this passage: finding peace in the storm, welcoming Jesus into our circumstances, and seeking Jesus for who He is—not only for what He can give us.

Everyone is welcome—whether you have followed Jesus for years, are beginning your faith journey, are returning to God, or simply have questions.

In this study of Jesus feeding the five thousand, we will learn how Jesus sees a need before anyone asks, uses uncertainty to strengthen faith, and receives what is faithfully offered—even when it appears too small to make a difference.

We will also examine why this miracle is more than a story about physical provision. It is a sign revealing the compassion, authority, and sufficiency of Jesus.

Our devotional passages will include:

• John 6:5–6 — Faith Under Examination
• John 6:9 — Bring What You Have
• John 6:12 — Nothing Is Wasted
