For too long, music has been the preserve of the "Talented", the "Creative" and the "Classically Trained". But now, armed with nothing more than a microphone and too much free-time, John Foster and Tom Riley, set out to prove that passion, baseless opinions and incompetence have a place in the art world.

Join us as we listen to the 100 greatest albums of all time and discuss what makes them great, or in some cases, not so great.

91: Darkness On The Edge Of Town - Bruce Springsteen
    19 Mar 2021

It is the season one finale! To celebrate we decided to release a special episode wherein everything is the same as the other episodes…

This week we discuss the 1978 album Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen, or as he is affectionately known, The Boss.

It has been an emotional first season and we would both like to thank you for all your support.

Off the Record will return, we are not sure exactly when, but keep an eye on the horizon because, with a fair wind, we will be back this decade.

    26 Feb 2021

It is time to turn it up to 11 and blow the roof off as we discuss Axis: Bold as Love, the phenomenal second studio album from guitar legend and rock pioneer Jimi Hendrix, and the other two band members.

Aside from the expert music analysis you have come to expect, Tom sets out to prove John isn’t the only one who can do impressions and we reminisce about some of our own musical performances.

93: Supa Dupa Fly - Missy Elliot
    5 Feb 2021

Warning! The following podcast is explicit, please keep in a secure container out of reach of children.

Hip-Hop is back on the agenda this week as we discuss Missy Elliot’s debut album Supa Dupa Fly. No prizes for guessing which of the team loved this album…

Elsewhere there is the usual cocktail of games, nostalgia and laughter. Plus John treats us to, what can only be described as, a performance art piece.

    Peace and love!
