Over deze titel

We talk about the Next Aid Station Mentality, which comes from the world of Ultra Running. In an Ultra-marathon, the way you approach running 100 miles is by simply reaching the next aid station where you can rest and fuel up for the next leg. This also applies in life where if you can set small aid stations along the way then large tasks or events can become manageable. Follow me while I talk to industry leaders in the solar and sales industry, ultra runners, and more. This podcast will cover topics around running, business, family, life and everything in between.

NXT AID STN: Mick Joins Jake to Discuss Ultrarunning, the Boston Marathon, Being Race Directors, Running a Business Together and More!
    13 Apr 2023

Leading up to the Boston Marathon that takes place each year on Patriots Day, just a few days away from now, guest Mick Garrison and I talk about the Boston Marathon and what it means to each of us personally, and to our running careers.

In 2016, just weeks before self-surrendering to prison, Mick and I ran the Boston Marathon together. During this dark time in my life the NXT AID STN Mentality was born as I used it to get me through those torturous months between pleading and prison (6 months).

In 2018, my final aid station in prison was watching the Boston Marathon - just two days before being released back home to my family. The Boston Marathon will always have a special place in my heart.
