Scary stories for brave kids. Maya is five, and she's the only one who sees the monsters. Her brother Leo is eight and has never once believed her — mostly because he was asleep. Their dog Moose knows more than he lets on. And when the fog rolls in off the coast, something in it is awake. For little kids who think the "spooky" episodes of other shows aren't spooky enough. The scares are real, the endings are safe, and Maya warns you before the scary part so you know when to grab a hand. Roughly 20 minutes. Best with the lights low. New episodes weekly.Maya and the Fog Literature & Fiction

  • The More Tree
    5 Oct 2026

It's October, and at the playground, everyone has had one treat. That's the rule. But behind the squeaky swing, at the edge of the woods, there's a tree with candy growing right out of its branches. Red ones. Yellow ones. Chocolate with caramel inside.

Tonight: every time someone asks for one more, the tree gives it to them. And the path home gets a little farther away. Maya, Bea, Twiggy, and little Milo are about to meet the biggest tree in the whole forest. It only knows one word. More. And Maya learns that wanting another isn't the same as needing another.

Maya's warning: this one starts sweet. It doesn't stay that way. Find a hand to hold.

Scary bedtime story for kids (ages 4–8). Roughly 20 minutes. Endings safe. New episodes weekly.

Follow so next week finds you in the fog. If they ask for "just one more," a rating helps other brave kids find us.

  • The Echo — Scary Bedtime Story for Kids (Ages 4–8)
    27 Sep 2026

Maya's friends are in this one. It's a fog day at school, indoor recess — and the sharing shelf has a rule: everything on it is everybody's. But Bea says "mine" about the blue blocks. Maya says "mine" about the gold marker. And something in the room says it back.

In their voices. A little bit late. A little bit lower. Every "mine" anybody says all day, at the same time, in everybody's voice.

Maya and the Fog is a scary story podcast for brave kids ages 4–8. Real suspense, safe endings. New episodes every week.

  • The Grumble
    20 Sep 2026

Leo says eight-year-olds don't nap. Leo has never napped in his entire life. Allegedly.

It's a foggy Saturday, and at one o'clock Maya decides she's big now — she's going to lie in bed with her eyes open and skip her nap on purpose. Moose won't come in the room. And there's a very old rule about that. Everybody has a Grumble, and naps aren't for you. Naps are for the thing inside you.

Tonight, one hour at a time: a yawn that comes out wrong. Grey eyes in the dinner window. Nails that click on the blanket. And something in Maya's pajamas walking down the hall toward Lily's room.

Maya's warning: this one's closer than the others. Get under a blanket.

Scary bedtime story for kids (ages 4–8). About 15 minutes. Endings safe. New episodes weekly.
