  • The Veil Is Thin: Divination, Dreams & Ancestor Work in October
    7 Oct 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Why does the veil feel thinner as October moves toward Samhain? In this episode, I look at the seasonal and historical roots of that belief, what the changing light and landscape bring into our awareness, and why discernment matters when dreams, memories, and impressions grow louder.

Then we put the season to work. I share a four-card Threshold Tarot Spread, ways to record and reflect on vivid dreams, an introduction to water scrying and reading tea leaves or coffee grounds, and a gentle first step into intentional ancestral contact. Throughout, we’ll keep our observations separate from our interpretations and make room for clear boundaries.

The Threshold Spread will be available in the free LightFUL Library on Patreon. You’ll also find the books mentioned in the episode in the show notes, and we’ll go deeper into ancestral work in this month’s Working inside The LightFUL Witch Circle.

The veil may feel thin, but you still choose when to listen, whom to welcome, and when to close the door.

  • Autumnal Equinox, Mabon & the Harvest Moon: Finding Balance While Everything Is Moving
    21 Sep 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

The Autumnal Equinox is often described as a moment of perfect balance, but the Earth doesn’t stop moving when the scales reach their centre. Neither do we.

In this episode of Magic in Motion, we’re exploring the Autumnal Equinox, Mabon, and the Harvest Moon through the idea of fluid equilibrium, when balance becomes a verb, not a noun. We’ll follow autumn traditions across cultures, uncover the surprisingly modern history of Mabon, visit the folklore of the last sheaf, and look at why harvest season asks us not only what we’re ready to release, but what is worth preserving.

Then we’ll follow the lunar tide from the Equinox into the Harvest Moon, exploring the astronomy behind the Harvest Moon Effect and using the Witch’s Mirror as a magical lens for carrying the light, wisdom, and growth of one season into the next.

Along the way, we’ll talk about gratitude, discernment, shadow work, refreshing wards, harvest magic, and practical ways to work with the season—including one question that may matter more than What am I ready to let go of?

What did I grow that I refuse to lose?

For even more seasonal magic, visit The LightFUL Witch Circle on Patreon for the seven-card Fluid Equilibrium Tarot Spread and the Autumnal Equinox Altar Guide, featuring ten pages of seasonal correspondences for creating an altar rooted in harvest, gratitude, preservation, release, and the transition into the darker half of the year.

This season, don’t just ask what you’re ready to release. Look at what you’ve grown, decide what deserves preserving, and find your balance as you carry it forward.

  • When the Moon Breaks the Rules: Eclipses, Blood Moons, Blue Moons, Supermoons & More
    12 Aug 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

What is a Blood Moon? What causes a Blue Moon? Is a Super Moon really "super?" Why do eclipses happen, and what do they mean in astronomy, astrology, history, and modern witchcraft?

In this episode of Magic in Motion, we're exploring every fascinating way the Moon breaks the rules.

For thousands of years, people relied on the Moon as one of the most dependable rhythms in their lives. It marked the passing of time, guided planting and harvesting, influenced tides, illuminated the night, and helped entire civilizations organize their calendars.

And then, every so often, the Moon did something unexpected.

It turned red. It disappeared. It seemed larger than usual.

Without modern astronomy, these rare events inspired myths, legends, celebrations, magical traditions, and countless questions that people are still asking today.

Together we'll separate science from superstition, folklore from documented history, and modern magical practice from popular internet myths as we explore:

    • Blood Moons and lunar eclipses
    • Solar eclipses, annular eclipses, hybrid eclipses, and penumbral eclipses
    • Blue Moons and Black Moons
    • Super Moons and Micro Moons
    • Void of Course Moons
    • Lunar Nodes
    • The Saros and Metonic Cycles
    • Moon halos, moonbows, Earthshine, lunar coronas, Moon illusions, occultations, conjunctions, and more

Along the way we'll talk about eclipse folklore, witchcraft, astrology, lunar magic, Blood Moon water, practical spiritual practices, and why many of these rare lunar events remain surprisingly controversial within the modern magical community.

Whether you're a practicing witch, an astrology enthusiast, a moon lover, a history buff, or simply someone who's ever looked up during an eclipse and wondered, "What exactly am I looking at?" this episode is for you.

So grab a cup of tea, step outside if the sky is clear, and join me as we explore When the Moon Breaks the Rules.
